Perry, Georgia, is turning 200 years old in 2024, and we're celebrating all year long!

In this episode, Mrs. Ellie Loudermilk, President of the Perry Area Historical Society & Museum, shares Part II of historical information about the Black community of Perry, Georgia.

This episode highlights the Black businesses of Perry, with much of the information provided by Mrs. Ruby Boone Tharpe, who was the editor of Perry's Black history for the Houston Home Journal for many years.
